Taro
Taro
Ingredients:
-500 g of Taro
-2 chopped onions ( medium size)
-1 cup of chick-peas boiled and peeled.
-1 cup of minced parsley
-1/2 cup of minced mint
-1/2 cup of vegetable oil
-2 tablespoon of olive oil
-1 teaspoon of salt
-water for boiling
Preparation:
- Peel the taro and wash it very well.
- in a pot, boil the taro till the sticky substance comes out.
- wash and drain the taro.
- in a pan, pour the vegetable oil and cook the taro till reddish color appears.
- in a pot, put the taro and cover it with water, add the olive oil, chilly spice (optional).
- keep it on low heat, stir every while.
- in a pan, cook the onion until it turns golden brown , then add the taro, parsley, mint, and salt.
-stir the mix till all ingredients are well combined.
- served cold or hot as desired.
