Ingredients
1 kg minced meat (lamb or beef )as desired
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp sweet pepper
1 tbsp salt
500 g onions /2 or 3 onions
500 g tomato sauce
2 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup vegetable oil
Preperation
- onions are chopped into thin slices
- in a saute pan add vegetable oil and sauté onions until translucent ,remove from the oil and keep aside
- in another pan add meat ,salt and all the above mentioned spices mixing in with the meat
- form equal sized meat balls
- in the onion sauted oil ,fry meat balls until golden brown
- add the onions over the meat balls
- mix tomato sauce, paste adding all to the meat onion mixture
- leave all ingredients on a meduim heat for 15 minutes to homogenise together
- remove from the heat and serve hot
- white rice is served next to Dawood Basha
