Artichoke and stuffing ingredients:
- 1kg artichoke (cleaned)
- 500g minced meat
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ tsp 7 spices
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp toasted pine nuts
Broth ingredients:
- 3 tbsp flour
- 3 to 4 cups water
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp 7 spices
- 1 lemon - juiced (optional)
Broth preparation:
- In a sauce pan, add oil, flour, salt, 7 spices and water mixing well together
- allow to heat, until the mixture begins to thicken and then add the lemon juice

1- artichoke is boiled and then fried until golden in colour
2- in a sauté pan add oil then meat and stir
3- add salt to taste and 7 spices stir until cooked ,then add pine nuts
3- place artichokes in a pyrex try, then cover with minced meat and pine nuts
4- pour broth over the top and cover with aluminium foil. Place try in a preheated oven. Allow the try to cook top and bottom for 1 hour or until cooked and top has browned a little
5- serve with vermicelli rice
