-2 kg of chicken/ or whole chicken as desired.
-vegetable oil/ enough quantity to fry the chicken.
-6 cups of water/ as needed.

- clean the chicken well
- in a wide deep pan, pour oil and fry the chicken pieces until they turn a reddish colour, then remove from oil.
- in a wide pot, pour enough quantity of water with spices and add the chicken pieces, boil until well done. Add salt and cook for almost 1 hour until a consistent broth has formed
- remove spices from the broth
- pour the chicken stew and serve in a dish. Add the lemon juice. Serve hot with vermicelli rice on the side
