Quantity: 4 persons
Ingredients:
-2 cups of basmati rice
-one whole chicken around 1 kg
-400 g minced meat
-3 tablespoon of vegetable oil for cooking or 1 tablespoon of margarine.
-1 teaspoon of many spices or 7 peppers powder.
-1/4 teaspoon of turmeric (optional)
-1 teaspoon of salt
-3 cups of chicken broth for cooking
-a bit of vegetable oil to fry the chicken
* to poach the chicken:
-5 cups of water
-cinnamon stick, big bay leaf, 3 cardamom seeds, 3 carnations, black pepper.
*to garnish:
3 tablespoons of fried pine nuts
Directions
- wash the rice and soak for an hour
- clean, wash and drain the chicken, then in a pot, fry with a bit of vegetable oil, later, cover in water and bring it to boil, add the spices and keep on low heat till well done.
Remove the chicken from the broth and take away the bones.
Drain the broth to use it in cooking
- in another pot, pour some vegetable oil or margarine to cook the minced meat, stir till well done, add the rice, stir all together, add spices and broth, cover the pot and cook the rice for 25 mins till done.

In the serving dish, put the rice and spread above the boneless chicken, garnish with fried pine nuts.
Served hot with cucumber and yogurt sauce or as desired.
