Ingredients:
-2 cups of sugar
-1 cup of water
-1 teaspoon of lemon juice
-1 tablespoon of rose water
Directions:
- in an appropriate saucepan , add sugar and water, stir well till the sugar dissolves completely.
- bring it to boil, then add lemon juiced
- keep on low heat for 1/4 hour.
- Note:
If you want the sugar syrup /Ater to be thicker boil it for 20 more mins.
- turn off the stove and let the sugar syrup/ Ater cool to room temperature, then add the rose water.
- NOTE:
2 secrets to have a perfect sugar syrup / Ater recipe, without granulation and preserved for long time:
* cover the pot while boiling the mixture
* use a clean spoon when checking the thickness of mixture.
