1Kg of dried fig
500 grams of granulated sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp of honey
2 cups of water
Boil the sugar, water and lemon until thick
Reduce the heat to low and add the figs. Cook for an hour or until figs are soft.
You might need to add more water depending on the type of figs.
Before the fig becomes thick and sticks together, add a tablespoon of natural honey, almonds and walnuts as desired. Leave for about ten minutes on low heat.
Let the jam cool and store in jars.
