Ingredients:
- 6 cups milk
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1/ 2 cup water - to dissolve starch
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange blossom water
- 1/4 cup rose water
- 1 cup thick sugar syrup
Directions:
- Dissolve the starch in water and strain in a cooking pot so no lumps are visible
- Add the milk to the starch over high heat and stir constantly until boiling point
- After boiling the mixture is left on medium heat for 20 minutes with constant stirring then add the sugar with constant stirring
- Leave the mixture on the heat until it condenses and still with constant stirring
- Before the pot is removed from the heat, add the orange blossom and rose water with constant stirring
- Pour the halittah in small cups or bowls as desired and refrigerate until cold
- Before serving drizzle sugar syrup on top and serve cold.
